Fibroblast Plasma Therapy
Fibroblast Plasma Therapy is a new skin tightening procedure that is generating a lot of buzz in the medical aesthetics industry. It delivers tiny arcs of plasma created by an electrical discharge via a plasma pen to the skin, thereby singeing the surface and tightening the underlying tissue.
Fibroblast plasma treatment is a non-surgical lift procedure that gives the same results as traditional surgery. This treatment does not require anesthesia. It is virtually painless with anesthetic applied locally prior to treatment. A tiny plasma flash is administered to the skin in a micro-millimeter sized point. This superficial point minimizes the skin in its immediate vicinity – which is intended to reduce the excess skin. Patients are able to notice results right away. Although, it takes 2-4 weeks for the full effect to be visible.
Fibroblast is designed to tighten and lift the skin. It shrinks excess skin, crow’s feet, bags and wrinkles. Also, it’s known to be radical in wrinkle smoothing and eyelid tightening, reducing hooded eyelids.
Treatable Areas
Fibroblast is able to treat a number of imperfections without any actual cutting of the skin. Fibroblast plasma is a new revolutionary non-surgical lift treatment that is highly effective and is a remarkably lower cost alternative to surgery for conditions such as:
Eyelid Tightening, including under eyes and excess upper eyelid skin
Skin imperfections, including skin tags and sunspots.
Improvement in the appearance of acne scars
Tightening loose stomach skin after pregnancy & stretch marks
Lines and wrinkles around the mouth also known as smokers lines
Jowls, Jawline definition and Neck Tightening.
Knee Caps and Under Arms
Nose sculpting – Nose contour or nose bulbous reduction
Does it Hurt?
Fibroblast is non-surgical treatment with no pain or minimal discomfort reported by patients. Topical cream is applied to numb treated area prior to procedure.
How Long Does It Last?
Fibroblast is more than a simple tightening treatment (skin volume is actually reduced), the effects should last as long as they would with invasive surgery. Like all surgical and cosmetic procedures, the effects of fibroblast are not entirely permanent as it does not stop any further ageing. Although, the positive results should last years depending on the area treated. The positive effects of treatment will be noticeable immediately after the first treatment, but the final results will be seen after 8 weeks. For some, an additional treatment may be required after 8 weeks for maximum results. Additionally, there are lifestyle factors that can prevent the result from lasting as long as they can, such as smoking, alcohol consumption, and prolonged sun exposure.
What To Expect-Side Effects And Risks
Plasma Pen has been shown to be a safe treatment due to its non-invasive nature when performed by a fully certified technician. Still the majority of clients are likely to experience some minor side effects in the 7-10 days following treatment. There will be small carbon crusts (little polka dots) in the treated area that will last 7-10 days before naturally lifting, revealing new pink skin beneath. Swelling in the eye area is to be expected for a few days following an upper eyelid treatment. To avoid any more serious side effects such as hyper-pigmentation, follow the aftercare recommendations given to you by your technician.
